McMaster’s Official Toronto Campus

McMaster has an official campus in Toronto, after moving from Toronto to Hamilton in 1930.  The University has leased space in a building on Bloor Street West, directly across from the Royal Ontario Museum.  The building will be available for use by McMaster staff and faculty effective April 17, 2023.  The space has been renovated to provide an attractive Toronto location for meetings and events, or a home base while on business in Toronto.  The space will be of particular interest to support student recruitment, alumni meetings and events, co-op and research industry partner events, public relations and media events, educational sessions as well as promoting McMaster’s brand awareness.

Eight hoteling workstations

They will be available on a first-come first-served basis. There may be occasions when one can be reserved in advance by contacting the front desk staff.

Operating Cost & Maintenance

Rental and operating costs are currently shared between the six Faculties and the Provost.  For the first year there will be no rental cost passed on to users of the spaces.  Beginning in year two rates will be set by the Steering Committee based on usage and operating costs.

Catering

A list of suggested vendors is available by contacting the front desk staff.
One group has used Daniel et Daniel and has been satisfied.
Note:  reception type food is recommended due to space and facility limitations.  A nearby hotel is more suitable for full dinners.
